Billingham Forum Project Awarded

F T Leisure have secured the refurbishment project at Billingham Forum. The works to the swimming pools include complete new water treatment and filtration systems, the installation of a moveable floor system and a static boom.Work has already started on site and is due for completion January 2011.

These works are part of a £15 million refurbishment; the plans include retaining and upgrading the existing facilities.

Morgan Ashurst has been appointed as the contractor to deliver the refurbishment.

The Aquaterr moveable floor and boom system will be installed in the deep (diving) end of the existing 33.3m main pool. After installation, the moveable floor will reach a maximum (water) depth of 3.0m. Adjacent to the moveable floor, a static boom will be installed to split the pool into a 25m pool and a separate learner pool.
