F T Leisure Appointed for Kings Cross

F T Leisure Limited has been appointed to provide swimming pool facilities for the new civic building for Camden Council at Kings Cross in London. The new 185,000 sq ft headquarters building will be used as offices for the council along with two floors for swimming pools and a library; it will enable the council to deliver better, more efficient public services and achieve important cost savings.

The swimming pools include a 25m 4-lane pool with a counter current swim unit. The main pool incorporates both FTs disabled access platform and their moveable floor system which provides varying pool depths to accommodate all level of swimmers. In addition, there is a Learner Pool, a childrens Splash Pool and a Spa Pool. These pools contain a number of water and air features.

Design work has commenced and the project is due for completion in April 2014.
