F T Leisure Secures Orford Park project

F T Leisure have been appointed to design, supply, install and commission water treatment and filtration systems for the prestigious new leisure development, the Orford Park Sports Hub, Warrington. The project contains a 25m 8 Lane competition pool and separate training pool with moveable floor.

The Orford Park Project is an exciting regeneration initiative, which will provide sport, health and community facilities on a former landfill site between Winwick Road and Orford Park. The project is led by Warrington Borough Council in partnership with TONP (The Orford Neighbourhood Project), Warrington Collegiate, Warrington Wolves, William Beamont High School, Warrington Disability Partnership, Network Warrington and the Warrington PCT.

The project, driven by innovative partnerships between the public, private and voluntary sectors, unites the provision of leisure, education, health and community services for Warrington, and will be delivered in a high profile location adjacent to the A49, providing a highly visible, powerful message to the local community and visitors alike of the identity, pride, and progressive development of Warrington.

The Principle Contractor is Galliford Try Construction and the Architect for the scheme is Archial Architects.

Site works are underway; F T Leisure are set to start with our first phase pipework installation in September 2010.
