FT Leisure have been awarded the contract to design and install water treatment and filtration systems and moveable floor and boom systems for the Bolton One Leisure Centre.

The prestigious new £30.6 million swimming pool, health and academic centre is being constructed by Eric Wright Construction. The complex will house a 25 metre 8 Lane competition swimming pool with seating for 250 spectators, a separate therapeutic Hydrotherapy pool, a fitness suite, aerobics studio, community gym, a four-storey urgent care centre, and sports science laboratories and teaching facilities.

All of the Bolton Council aquatic centres are managed by Serco Leisure. With vast experience in facilities management, specifically swimming pool facilities, Serco Leisure are actively involved in the early design of Bolton One, to ensure that the design team consider operational matters.

The complex will be built at the University of Bolton's Deane Road campus and it is due for completion in early 2012.
