FTL Secures Wakefield One!

Planning permission has been granted for this prestigious new city pool and fitness centre, which will be named "Wakefield One".

This facility will be built on the former Sun Lane bath’s site in Wakefield city centre. Moveable floors in both pools will provide the flexibility to allow a variety of uses so that all sectors of the community can access and benefit from this state-of-the-art facility.

The new centre is set to include:

A six lane 25m pool
A 13m by 7m learner pool
A fitness suite
A multi-use activity studio
Spectator viewing area and public café

The facility will help the Council achieve its vision for healthier, safer and stronger communities by providing access to quality services and facilities that motivate and enable local people to enjoy an active and healthy lifestyle.

F T Leisure will be designing, installing and commissioning the water treatment and filtration systems for the 2 swimming pools. We are appointed to Willmott Dixon Construction, who are principal contractors for this project. F T Leisure have worked with Willmott Dixon on many other leisure developments.
