The Queen, accompanied by The Duke of Edinburgh officially opened the facility, part of the £30 million Orford Park Project which has transformed 50 acres of a former landfill site to provide a wide range of brand new high quality, accessible and inclusive leisure, health and cultural facilities.

To design, supply, install and commission the swimming pool water treatment and filtration systems for a 25-metre six-lane competition-standard swimming pool and a separate learner pool for the £9 million sports complex in Montrose, Scotland. As well as the two new swimming pools, the complex features a top-class fitness suite and sauna and steam room; it also incorporates facilities from the old sports centre such as the games hall, multi-purpose rooms and squash courts - all of which have been renovated to the highest standard.

The existing 33.3m main pool was split into a 25m ASA standard competition pool and separate activity pool using a 2m wide static boom system. A moveable floor was then added to the activity pool to optimise the functionality of this swimming area.
