Martin has overall responsibility for the delivery of our major projects. We operate on multiple sites throughout the UK; working closely with his team of Project Managers, Martin has to ensure that every project is adequately managed and resourced to hit critical programme dates. In addition, Martin is the company’s lead commercial diver.

The maintenance and refurbishment of existing swimming pool systems is an important part of our business. Lance is responsible for our service operations, which includes cyclical maintenance contracts and any resultant remedial works. He builds long term relationships with our maintained customers and is continually developing new service business opportunities.
F T Leisure operates nationwide, with up to 30 major installation projects happening simultaneously. Mike is one of the industry’s most experienced swimming pool installation engineers; with 25 years+ knowledge, he is best placed to oversee all our installations as Site Manager. He is responsible for ensuring that all these sites are properly resourced and that the installation teams have all the equipment and materials they need to meet the construction programme.
Leigh’s key role is the management of our internal fabrication and production department, where materials and components are manufactured for incorporation into all our works. As an experienced fabrication engineer, he has a hands on role in all fabrication procedures and controls the high levels of stock required to ensure efficient site and workshop operations
Andy is our lead commissioning engineer and all round problem solver! Towards the end of a major project, Andy goes to site to make sure that all of the systems have been installed correctly and in accordance with the design. He then commissions and tests all of our systems, including all mechanical components, electrical systems and software controls/interlocks. This is a high pressure job, as we are typically moments away from project completion and there will invariably be challenges to overcome.
Assistant Service Manager
The maintenance and refurbishment of existing swimming pool systems is an important part of our business. Andy supports Lance Brookes on all our service operations. Andy has many years experience at the front end of swimming pool installation and servicing; he offers excellent technical support to all our customers. Using his in-depth knowledge of pool plant operation, Andy also delivers all our new build system training.

Dave manages the sales process for all our major projects. To win a project, we have to prepare a technically accurate submission, compliant with all the employer’s requirements, plus of course a competitive price. Dave studies the industry to ensure that we have the edge over our competitors.
Personal Assistant to MDView profile
Emma is Personal Assistant to Simon Whittingham providing full administrative support with the day to day running of the business. Her main responsibilities are arranging client meetings, dealing with the company’s infrastructure and helping to manage Simon’s team. This includes ensuring HR policies and procedures are adhered to as well as personnel administration.
Paul prepares the prices on all our major projects. With the onset of digital technology, enquiries can include thousands of drawings and specifications, which need to be filtered to find the specific information we need to price a project. Once we have this information, Paul engages with over 100 suppliers, to formulate our final price. Paul will also populate bid documents for review before submission.
Alex manages our major projects, from design through to completion. This includes all client liaison, material procurement, health and safety documentation, logistics, programming, co-ordination of material deliveries and resources.

Assistant Project Engineer
Dan offers to support to our Project Engineers. Duties include client liaison, material procurement, health and safety documentation, logistics, programming, co-ordination of material deliveries and resources.
Alex produces detailed calculations and designs for our water treatment and filtration systems, water features, rides and luxury spas. The success of our installations starts with an accurate, well considered design that is fully co-ordinated with all the other building trades. Alex has over 25 years experience in this industry; he’s designed some of the highest profile aquatic centres in the UK.
Simon produces detailed calculations, designs and Revit models for our full product portfolio, including water treatment and filtration systems, leisure water, moveable floors, booms and disabled access systems. Simon has been instrumental in getting F T Leisure ready for BIM level 2 compliance. He is proficient in Autocad, Revit, Inventor and Solidworks and manages the entire design process, from concept to completion.
Nathaniel produces detailed calculations and designs for our water treatment and filtration systems, water features, rides and luxury spas. The success of our installations starts with an accurate, well considered design that is fully co-ordinated with all the other building trades. F T Leisure have invested heavily in Revit technology; Nat has the skillset to deliver full BIM level 2 compliance projects.
Josh joined F T Leisure with a wealth of experience in Revit design in the building services industry. He models our project designs, equipment components and manufacturing (CNC) models. He is currently working on our Virtual Reality services, to enable clients to walk around their plantrooms before they are built.
Ian controls all our warehouse stock, incoming goods, outgoing goods and the company fleet of vehicles. He co-ordinates all company logistics, which is not easy, considering we have on average 25 new build sites running at any one time, all over the country. Ian also manages all our tooling, both in our production department and across all our site teams.
Finance is at the heart of any business and it has to run smoothly and efficiently. Whist we love what we do, we are a business and do try to make the most margin possible from our projects. Chris is responsible for all our finance and accounting functions. He has a lot of experience in management accounting, but has also spent a lot of his career in industry, supporting board members on finance strategy.
Purchase Ledger Clerk
Every penny that is spent in our company is controlled by Marcel. She processes all the purchase invoices, delivery notes and purchase orders to ensure accuracy and to ensure they are all paid in accordance with supplier terms. Marcel also offers administrative support to our major project management team.
On average, FT Leisure carries out 400-500 cyclical maintenance inspections a year and typically 1000 small orders. Linda is responsible for administering this significant workload, whilst offering support to Lance Brookes, Andy Murphy and all our customers. Servicing and maintaining equipment requires accurate and audit-able paperwork trail.
A key function in any successful business is sound administrative support and controlled document systems. We have a team of administrators keeping all our paper and electronic records in order; this team is managed by Caroline. In addition, Caroline runs our reception and personnel training programme.
Theresa is responsible for our Sales Ledger. Across all our major projects, she manages the construction interim application procedure, payment notices, sales invoices and most importantly….credit control! On the service side of our business, Theresa produces literally thousand of invoices per annum, distributed to our database of >200 service customers.
Amy assists Linda in the administration of our service and maintenance department. We handle vast amounts of reports and paperwork in this department – this requires an efficient administration team….and a lot of patience!
Natalie offers administrative support to our project management team. Construction projects require a lot of quality and health and safety documentation, all collaborated on online forums. At the end of each project, Natalie will also collate our system operating and maintenance manuals.
