FTL Secure Largest Ever Project!

This is the largest single contract value that F T Leisure have secured to date. This size of project, which contains our full range of products and services will undoubtedly increase our profile as the UK's current leading pool specialists.

The East Marketgait Leisure Pool contains the following:

A 50m Pool with a 4.0m deep end for diving activities. The 50m pool will be split up into sections with a Traversable Boom system and a Submersible Boom system. In addition, between 2 boom park positions there will be a moveable floor system within the "activity" section of the pool. There will also be a sprinkler system under the diving boards and 2No Aquaterr disabled access platform systems.

A Freeform Wave Pool with an F T Leisure wave machine containing 4No chambers. Within this pool, there are also a number of water features including 4No spray cannons and 5 water geysers.

A River Ride is adjacent to the wave pool, complete with a central 5 arm spray feature and a number of profiled bubble beds.

There are 4No Flumes including 2No 1200mm diameter rides, a 900mm diameter fast ride and the infamous cannonball flume (similar to the one in the current Dundee Olympia pool). Three pools terminate in aquacatches and the cannonball terminates in the main 50m pool.

The Main Contractor (Mansells Construction) have commenced enabling works on site. F T Leisure site operations will commence in July 2011.
