F T Leisure has been appointed to refurbish and enhance the Wave Machine system in the leisure pool at Hambleton Leisure Centre. The council have recognised that this system has now reached the end of its life cycle and requires remedial works. Work starts on site in December 2009.
Primarily, the works include the upgrade of the control systems. We will be supplying a new main control system with PLC controller, interfacing with a remote poolside HMI.
The engineers at F T Leisure were involved in the design, supply and installation of this Wave Machine, back in the 1980's. Over a 10 year period, there was a boom in the leisure pool market; we installed over 60 wave machines in the period. These wave machines are now requiring attention, which gives us the opportunity to update the technology and introduce new innovations from our current design.
