We are recruiting for a Assistant Commissioning Engineer

We are looking for an Installation Engineer to join the Projects Team. We need someone who is assertive and can work well within a team. You will be site based all over the UK. Benefits include pension, 20 days holiday per annum + statutory, overtime.

Hours:            Full time – 8am to 5pm Mon-Fri

Salary:            (dependent on experience)

Overtime:       Flat hourly rate for any working hours after 40 hours per week. 1.5 x rate for weekends.

Holidays:       20 days per annum + Statutory

Expenses:      Hotels/Accommodation paid direct by company. Subsistence allowance paid

 

We are hiring for a new position as an Assistant Commissioning Engineer. Reporting in to our Projects department, we are ideally looking for someone with an electrical/controls background or previous work in commissiong plant. You will be working alongside one of our Commissioning Engineers for first 12-18 months and be away on sites around the UK 95% of the time, accommodation and travel will be provided plus meal allowance. You must hold a CSCS card.

The role of a commissioning engineer at FT Leisure is to get all of the plant online that serves the swimming pool and get it operating correctly, this generally takes 4 weeks on site and goes from firing up the pumps for the first time to the fine tuning of the chemical dosing equipment and taking the final water samples. It would be working alongside our current commissioning engineers at first to learn how are the plant works and to understand the water balancing before commissioning your own projects.

  • Previous experience servicing pool plants
  • Knowledge of backwashing filters
  • Calibrating chemical controllers
  • Balance / control of chemicals
  • Finishing off small works on installs prior to commissioning engineer attending site
  • 20 days holiday + bank holidays, increasing after 3 years to 23 and then 1 day a year up to a maximum of 30.
  • £28k – £35k annual salary depending on experience.
